Mobile stock monitoring

Many Malaysian brokerages today, offer live feed for mobile devices to investors and traders. Monitoring stock movements on the go is deemed essential for many of them.

Without subscribing to these live feed from brokerages, investors with mobile gadgets like smart phones, palm devices and pocket PC can still monitor their stocks easily with Stocks Manager. The stock prices are 15 minutes delayed but data is free. Stocks Manager is an adjunct to the many tools available. It will not be a darling of the technical analyst. No moving averages, candlesticks, Bollinger bands or Elliot Waves. The versatility of Metastock is absent and not shockingly so. As an information stock manager it is primitive but then for a mobile program in its infancy it pretty useful.

Synchronising of data is via wifi, usb or bluetooth connection as well as online GPRS or with 3G. It supports many world stock exchanges as well as indicis and forex.

Screen shots of the program shown below are from my pocket PC, Dell Axim 51v :-

Australian Stock Exchange .
